    - Battle of the Band (broadband)

years before i open my Internet cafe i make a research first on what Internet
    connection i will use.
I shop around, make some inquiries and make a study plan.
Finally i got to the conclusion, it's better to use landline cables for Internet
connection than use wifi or wireless connection.
Its true i supposed that land line cabled broadband connection is good, that is
if the Internet provider is good. But what if the landline connection is bad?

So according to my inquiries landline connection is good over wifi.
I experience my self the two broadband connections.

signing for a 2 year contract, i use land line broadband.
At first i though its good until problem happen, slow connection,
    suddenly off line, and expensive.

I also use wifi, the wireless broadband experience is very good, i have not
recall off line connection, faster speed than my landline broadband, and cheaper.

I can't give you the names of the two company's i compared here,
but if you want to know, just drop by my Internet cafe.
Am not using my land line broadband anymore for several months now,
and even i wanted to use it, its off line. :(

Some land line broadband connection however is good.
The land line broad from the Internet cafe i use to go is very fast and cheap.
Not all land line broadband connection is bad.

    Think about it:
The Philippines is in the headline recently, a broadband deal got in the headline
news because of claimed corruption by some senators.

A senator is interviewed and ask his comment on the broadband deal.
He said, “ we need computers, we don't need a broadband connection”.

I was sad on his reaction to the broadband project.

If you have a computer without broadband connection, your work will not be complete.
How can you use a computer fully if you don't have a broadband connection?
Its like having to buy a telephone unit with no cable connection,
how can you use it with no connection?

One advantage on having a broadband connection, is in the VOIP (voice over IP).
cheaper phones for the masses, and cheaper phones for the provider.

We use VOIP from skype, the quality is superior. Cheap long distance too.
Actually theres no fee for my long distance calls because were using PC to PC calls.
    The advantage is very clear.

I hope the talks about the broadband will produce good results.

    On the lighter side:
    does broadband have color?
Skype says yes, and its in full spectrum :)
